The Adolescent Brain
April 27 & 29, 2021
Virtual Course
Event Trainers
Jessica Heavin, MS, LPC
Individuals who work with adolescents often find themselves wondering whether they are speaking the same "language" as their youth. This training seeks to connect the anecdotal knowledge that youth serving professionals have about why adolescents behave the way they do with recent advancements in the science of adolescent brain development. In addition, examples and exercises will help participants more effectively provide support to their youth.
This 4-hour course will be split between two live sessions on Tuesday and Thursday. Participants are required to attend both sessions to receive credit. Participants who complete the full course are eligible for CEU credit from the University of Oklahoma.
After you register, we will contact you via email with the Zoom link and password to the first session.
These sessions will be interactive. We recommend participants have a high-speed Internet connection and a computer with both audio and video capabilities.
