The Residential Child and Youth Care Professional (RCYCP) curriculum is designed to help improve the quality of residential care for children and youth. The RCYCP Institute consists of four training modules exploring ways in which Youth Care Professionals can be more effective in their work with young people.

RCYCP 2: Understanding Child Development equips Youth Care Professionals with knowledge and skills for individualized programming. Attendees will examine the various domains of child development and how they influence interactions with young people, the importance of teaching independent living skills, and how to work with youth at different developmental levels.
