The Residential Child and Youth Care Professional (RCYCP) curriculum is designed to help improve the quality of residential care for children and youth. The RCYCP Institute consists of four training modules exploring ways in which Youth Care Professionals can be more effective in their work with young people.

One goal of youth work is to support young people in choosing more helpful behaviors by improving self-discipline. In RCYCP 4: Teaching Discipline, participants will examine the relationship between needs and behavior, identify the difference between punishment and discipline, and explore ways Youth Care Professionals can assist young people in changing behavior and managing conflict.
