The Lens We Work Through: Identities, Barriers, and Privilege

October 6–22, 2020

Online Course

Event Trainers
Nelvin Cecil Howell, MFA

In this training we will explore the multiple identities we hold, how they intersect, and how they impact our work. We will also look at the framework that creates a system of barriers, privilege, and power dynamics. This training asks participants to engage in reflective activities and vulnerable conversations.

This 12-hour course will be held in six live sessions over three weeks. Participants are required to attend all sessions to receive credit. Participants who complete to full course are eligible for CEU credit from the University of Oklahoma.

After you register, we will contact you via email with the Zoom link and password to the first session.

These sessions will be highly interactive. This training is not a webinar. To receive credit for this workshop, each participant must have their own device (tablet or computer), with the camera turned on and their face visible for the duration of the session.

Please watch for update e-mails regarding video links, additional activity materials such as paper, pencils, markers, etc.
