Support Groups for Region 2
Support Network Groups are designed to assist resource parents with in-service training, community resource information, peer support, and communication with DHS. Attending on a regular basis is not only a great way to get the emotional and practical support you need to succeed, it's a great way to stay on top of the training requirements you need to fulfill. Some groups serve dinner or snacks; all provide child care with your RSVP. Please contact the facilitator to find out about the topic or confirm your attendance.

Could these behaviors be caused by something else?
Join us as we explore the science behind how a diet high in sugar, dyes, and other foods can affect your child’s behavior. Learn about how Nutrition Response Testing could help improve overall well-being. We will also discuss the long-term effects that heavy metal toxicity can have on us and ways to combat this.
Our speaker is LaKrista O’Dell from Native Wellness.
Training Credit: Parents in attendance will earn 2 hours of in-service training credit toward your annual 12-hour requirement. Come connect and learn with other kinship, foster, and adoptive families in Garvin, McClain, and surrounding counties.
Childcare is available with a reservation as well as a light meal. RSVP by contacting Tara Brown at tara_b_brown@hotmail.com OR 405-251-0084 by noon Thursday, November 9, 2023, so we can prepare for you.
