Support Groups for Region 2
Support Network Groups are designed to assist resource parents with in-service training, community resource information, peer support, and communication with DHS. Attending on a regular basis is not only a great way to get the emotional and practical support you need to succeed, it's a great way to stay on top of the training requirements you need to fulfill. Some groups serve dinner or snacks; all provide child care with your RSVP. Please contact the facilitator to find out about the topic or confirm your attendance.

October Meeting Topic: Adoption & Guardianship with Lawyer Terri Craig
Join us for an overview of the adoption journey for foster families. We will discuss key milestones, timelines, common requirements, available resources, and factors that can impact the adoption process. This session is designed to help foster parents better understand what to expect as a case moves toward permanency and provide an opportunity to ask questions about the path to adoption.
Facilitator: Terri Craig, Attorney at Law
Training Credit: Parents in attendance will earn 2 hours of in-service training credit toward your annual 12-hour requirement. Come connect and learn with other kinship, foster, and adoptive families in Garvin, McClain, and surrounding counties.
