Caring for children who have experienced trauma can be both rewarding and challenging. This online in-service training is designed to help foster and kinship families better understand and respond to Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Participants will learn how PTSD can impact children and youth, recognize common trauma-related behaviors, and apply practical, trauma-informed parenting strategies to create a safe and supportive home environment.
This training offers helpful tools and insights to build confidence, encourage healing, and strengthen trusting relationships. It is ideal for foster parents, kinship caregivers, and anyone supporting children and youth affected by trauma.
