In the Systematic Training to Assist in the Recovery from Trauma (S.T.A.R.T.), participants will learn how to establish a cultural foundation based on the O.P.E.N. framework of being Observable and Transparent, Professional, Engaged, and Needs Focused. Through a variety of experiential exercises, attendees will come away knowing the Six Principles of Trauma Informed Care and how to apply them to their professional work.

Trainees will meet in two-hour sessions via ZOOM on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00am to 11:00am on the following dates:

  • Session 1: July 19
  • Session 2: July 21
  • Session 3: July 26
  • Session 4: July 28
  • Session 5: August 2
  • Session 6: August 4

All sessions will be highly interactive. This training is not a webinar. To receive credit, each participant must have their own device (tablet or computer), with the camera turned on and their face visible for the duration of the session. Participants must attend all six sessions to receive a certificate of completion.
