Support Groups for Region 2
Support Network Groups are designed to assist resource parents with in-service training, community resource information, peer support, and communication with DHS. Attending on a regular basis is not only a great way to get the emotional and practical support you need to succeed, it's a great way to stay on top of the training requirements you need to fulfill. Some groups serve dinner or snacks; all provide child care with your RSVP. Please contact the facilitator to find out about the topic or confirm your attendance.

Speaker: Liberty Daniels, Program Field Representative, Oklahoma Human Services
Children in foster and adoptive homes often face unique educational challenges that require informed and proactive support. This training is designed to empower caregivers to effectively advocate for the educational needs of the children in their care. Whether you're new to education advocacy or looking to strengthen your skills, this training will equip you with the knowledge and confidence to ensure your student has every opportunity to succeed.
This Network Support Group is designed to provide information and opportunities for networking with other resource families and resources, both locally and statewide. All resource families are welcome to attend: Kinship, Foster, Adoptive, and Enhanced Foster Care Families.
Parents in attendance will earn 2 hours of in-service training credit toward your annual 12-hour requirement. Come connect and learn with other kinship, foster, and adoptive families in surrounding counties.
