Loss and Grief in Foster Care and Adoption

Loss and grief in foster care and adoption are complex concepts. Children who have experienced multiple losses through the foster care and adoption journey find themselves feeling overwhelming and confusing emotions – denial, anger, bargaining, and depression. This webinar will discuss the impact of unrecognized and ambiguous losses children in foster care and adoption experience. Strategies and techniques parents and professionals can utilize to help children process their losses and grief will also be discussed.

Parents in attendance will earn 1 hour of in-service training credit toward their annual 12-hour requirement.
