Allen Carson, M.Div.

Pastor, Wesley United Methodist Church

For 30 years, Allen Carson served United Methodist Churches across Oklahoma as a children, youth, and family minister, and as a senior pastor for the past 17 years. He earned his undergraduate degree in Family, Marriage Relations and Child Development from the University of Central Oklahoma and his Master of Divinity Degree from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. As an Oklahoma foster care alumni, Allen has spent the past three decades working with children, youth, and young adults in foster care and juvenile justice programs. Allen also serves as a trainer and consultant with the Evolution Foundation, which provides resources, support, and technical assistance to families, community coalitions, and children’s behavioral health service providers in the state of Oklahoma, and also with Oklahoma Systems of Care, focusing on strengthening community partnerships, with an emphasis on partnerships with social services agencies and faith communities.
