Court Appointed Special Advocate volunteers (CASAs) play a unique role in the lives of children and youth residing within the child welfare system. A CASA is charged by the court to serve as member of a child’s professional team and represent the best interests of that child or youth. The court system can be challenging to navigate and understand and a CASA can help bridge that gap. Learn more about the role played by these community volunteers, and the unique contributions they make.
Parents in attendance will earn one hour of in-service training credit toward their annual 12-hour requirement.
