This training will explore crisis management prevention and intervention by introducing effective behavior support. Participants will learn key concepts which include:

  • Discovering roadblocks to appropriate prevention and intervention.
  • Identifying practical skills on how realistic expectations for youth are set.
  • Learning to be therapeutic with a young person during a crisis.

Through the use of engaging activities, participants will learn to identify periods of escalation in others and use self-evaluative techniques to manage personal emotions, body language, and verbal cues as deescalating means which can lead back to relational reconnections.

After registration, you will receive a link to the Zoom meeting.

To receive credit for this workshop, participants must have their own device (tablet or computer), with the camera turned on and their face visible for the duration of the session.
