Program Development Specialist, NRCYS

Nicole English is a Program Development Specialist for the National Resource Center for Youth Services. She has served as a member of the Discovery Lab Governing Board of Directors from 2018-2021. Nicole has worked for Tulsa Public schools as a paraprofessional. Subsequently she was employed at Tulsa Metropolitan Urban League where she was featured on television and radio as program Coordinator of the Save Our Babies, later creating Pathways for young mothers and the "8-88" program (Male Growth and Development) for young men. Nicole has several years of experience from working at Parent Child Center of Tulsa as a SafeCare Home visitor and holds a certificate of completion for the SafeCare home visitation program. She has been active in several community groups such as Tulsa Fatherhood Coalition, On Your Own (YWCA), Community Health Advisory team, Fetal Infant Mortality Review project, Higher Esteem Life programs, Tulsa Teen Prevention Coalition, Just Between Friends volunteer, Hillcrest Bundle Buddy and NICU volunteer and St Simeon’s volunteer. Nicole’s passion is helping young mothers realize the value of motherhood and parenting.

Nicole earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from Southern Nazarene University and her master’s degree in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma.
