We can place a child or youth in a home, but do they feel a sense of comfort, familiarity, and belonging, or are they living with uncertainty?
Children and youth need meaningful connections to the people, traditions, values, and experiences that shape who they are. Culture plays a powerful role in daily life and is a key part of identity, resilience, and well-being.
In this session, participants will explore the key components of culture, learn how culture influences the development of children and youth, and discover practical strategies to strengthen a child's sense of identity and belonging.
We all want children and youth to thrive. Cultural permanency is one important tool that can help make that goal a reality. Every child deserves more than a place to stay; they deserve a place where they belong.
This course will be held virtually via Zoom. You will receive a link to the meeting in a separate email.
