Trauma Responsive Practice for Children and Youth with Developmental Delays and/or Disabilities

April 5–6, 2023

Virtual Course

Event Trainers
Gwendolyn Downing, LPC; Nic Klinedinst, BS

This two-part workshop provides participants with an introductory understanding of children and youth who may have a developmental delay and/or a disability and have experienced trauma. Participants will discuss advocacy strategies as well as explore considerations for service provision.

After you register, we will contact you via email with the Zoom link and password to the event.

This training is not a webinar. These sessions will include interaction; and while we don’t want to limit anyone based on their circumstances, if at all possible, should be attended on a device (computer or tablet), versus calling in and listening. To receive credit, each participant must have their own device, with the camera turned on and their face visible for the duration of the sessions, and must attend both sessions to receive a certificate of completion.

Handouts will be sent prior to the event, and participants should be able to access them during both sessions.
