OKSA offers on-site/virtual trainings, consultations, learning aids and support that is specifically tailored to your needs. Building relationships is the cornerstone of our work with youth and families. While it’s vital that we have positive relationships with the young people and families in our care we also need the skills to assist them in building healthy relationships in other social contexts as well. Join us as we discuss the importance of relationships, how culture impacts relationships, and examine a competency-based approach to working with young people. This workshop will explore communication skills, conflict resolution, factors that impact young people’s willingness to form relationships, and how relationships impact a young person’s transition from care.
