On the Job Training
The OKSA Employment Network works to connect youth and young adults with both internship and apprenticeship opportunities.
Internships are an excellent way to build work experience and develop a network in a particular field or industry. It's important to note that not all internships are paid positions. Apprenticeships, on the other hand, are typically paid positions, provide extensive training under the guidance of a mentor, and usually involve a trade or craft. Click here to learn more about the differences between these on-the-job training options.
If you are interested in providing internship or apprenticeships opportunities to our young people with lived experience in foster care system, please contact the OKSA Helpline at oksa@ou.edu to get connected to our employment navigator.
